Ten Commandments (the fifth through the ninth), often giving more grotesque expressions of these sins. Thus these lawless are those who kill their fathers or mothers (fifth commandment); murderers (sixth commandment); the adulterers (lit., “fornicators”) and perverts, a word for male coital homosexuality (seventh commandment); slave traders (eighth commandment); and liars and perjurers (ninth commandment). Such coincidences can scarcely be accidental. But what is the reason for such a list here?
